Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM Lens
The Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM Lens features a unique combination of a huge field of view with distinct fisheye rendering to create striking, dynamic photos and videos. The Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM Lens is the first in the RF series that brings an immersive wide 190° angle of view.
DESCRIPTION
Distinct Field of View
Fisheye Rendering and Image Quality
The Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM Lens offers a truly unique rendering with strong distortion, making it a perfect partner to action sports and action subjects. It is also a dynamic option for landscape, nature, underwater, astrophotography, and architecture applications.
The optical design of this lens includes 5 ultra-low dispersion glass elements along with two aspherical elements, the combination of these specialised optics that promote high colour accuracy and sharpness, along with a compact, lightweight construction. Air Sphere (ASC) and Super Spectra (SSC) coatings reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast.
Zoom Design
The fisheye zoom change in focal lengths, this also affects the fisheye distortion and frame coverage. On afull-frame camera at the 7mm position, you will have a 190° field of view, while at the 14mm end you will have a 180° angle of view.
Close-Focus Creativity
When shooting close up with the Canon RF 7-14mm f/2.8-3.5 L Fisheye STM Lens, it highlights the distinct distortion and sense of space the bulbous, 180-190° angle of view rendering provides.
With a minimum focus distance of just 15cm, this allows you to place the lens basically right next to the subject. This highlights and exaggerates shapes, textures, and other small details, with the background remaining in frame but curves away with a distinct fisheye effect.
Built for Hybrid Creation
Equally as striking and versatile, this lens is for still application, it is for video use. The immersive depth of field, unique distortion, and broad angle of view make this a unique tool to render a singular subject in space.
Due to the rear focus design, the lens has virtually no focus breathing, which helps to maintain a consistent composition while racking focus. With internal focusing and internal zoom elements, it is much easier to use on a gimbal.
The extreme angle of view of the lens also lends itself to 2D monoscopic VR content, and the lens is fully supported by the Canon EOS VR System application for VR image creation.
Unique Drop-In Filter Design
One of the most unique design features of this lens is the inclusion of Canon's rear drop-in filter system, accommodating the bulbous, protruding front element and enabling you to make use of a switchable filter system.
