The Canon RF 14mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens is ideal for nature, landscapes, architecture, astrophotography, street photography and many more applications. It offers a huge angle of view, allowing for dynamic compositions with an exaggerated sense of space and foreground.
The fast f/1.4 maximum aperture offers unique control over depth of field and also greatly benefits low-light shooting. The optical design of the Canon RF 14mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens includes ultra-low dispersion (UD), fluorite, and Blue Spectrum Refractive Optics (BR) elements that assist in reducing chromatic aberrations for notable clarity and colour reproduction. Three GMO (Glass Moulded Optics) aspherical elements, Super Spectra (SSC), Air Sphere (ASC), and Subwavelength structure (SWC) coatings reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast, sharpness and distortion.
The rounded 11-blade diaphragm assists in creating a smooth, rounded out-of-focus rendering.

For smooth and silent iris pulls, the manual focus ring features a clicked or de-clicked switch. Focus breathing is well-controlled, helping to maintain a consistent composition and field of view when racking focus.
Matched design with other Hybrid series primes, all lenses feature the same 67mm front filter ring and general size for ease of use in rigging and working with multiple lenses on a shoot.

VCM and Nano USM Autofocus
Featuring both a VCM and Nano USM Autofocus system for fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus performance that is well-suited for both still and video applications. The Nano Ultrasonic Motor (USM) is used to control a floating focusing system while a Voice Coil Motor (VCM) adjust the rear focusing group. The floating design of the Canon RF 14mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens also assists in maintaining a consistent image quality throughout the focusing range.

Design Details
Despite being a fast ultra-wide lens, the Canon RF 14mm f/1.4 L VCM Lens remains relatively compact and lightweight for regular use. Its design and size is matched to the other Hybrid lenses and are built for everyday use for a wide range of shooting applications. As this lens does not accept front-threaded filters, it will accept pre-cut gel filters.
