The Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens is the latest super-telephoto full-frame prime lens from Nikon. Weighing less than half of that of the predecessor, the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens offers premium optical resolution in a handheld build design.

Comfort, Clarity, Handheld Carry

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens features an overall design that is significantly smaller than the predecessor, coming in at about two-thirds of the length and half the size. With the compact size. you are still offered S-series optical resolution via the Phase Fresnel element which also reduces the maximum aperture to f/6.3. With the size less than 28cm long the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens will fit into most kit bags, even when attached to a camera body. Extra-low dispersion elements and a short-wave refractive element assist in reducing chromatic aberrations. The Nano Crystal Coating assist in reducing flare and improving clarity, especially with point lights like stars and cityscapes.

VR Image Stabilization

Further assisting handheld use, the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens features built-in optical Vibration Reduction. This achieves up to 5.5 stops of image stabilization on all Z Series Cameras. In bodies supporting Synchro VR, such as the Nikon Zf, Z8, and Z9 mirrorless cameras, a crucial extra half-stop is gained in image stabilization, the equivalent of shooting at a shutter speed up to 6 stops faster.

Body, Handling, and Ergonomics

Furthermore and number of customizable controls are located around the lens for enhanced ergonomics and efficiency. These include, the centre of gravity moved closer to the rear of the lens and closer to the camera body, allowing for better handheld panning and the tracking of fast-moving subjects. Two programmable function buttons, a control ring, a Memory Set button, and a limiter switch put precision control at your fingertips, with tactile details that allow for quick adjustments without looking. With advanced weather sealing employed to the Nikon Z 600mm f/6.3 VR S Lens it is rated to keep dust, dirt, and moisture away from any moving parts to keep the lens safe to use in the elements.

If the item has been pre-ordered for you, this can take anything from 4 - 8 weeks.
