The Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM Lens is designed to be a lightweight and affordable wide-angle lens, to be used with Canon full-frame RF-Mount lenses. With the bright f/2.8 maximum aperture suits working in available lighting conditions and helps to control the depth of field. When used with Canon APS-C cameras an equivalent 45mm coverage is provided.

Optical Design
The Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM features three aspherical elements to assist in controlling distortion and promoting sharpness. To assist in reducing flares and ghosting the RF 28mm lens is covered with Super Spectra Coatings which improves colour fidelity and improved contrast.

Fast, Quiet, and Accurate Autofocus STM Motor
The STM stepping motor offers fast, smooth and near-silent autofocus performance well suited for both video and still applications.

Rounded Seven-Blade Diaphram
The Canon RF 28mm f/2.8 STM Lens features a 23mm focussing distance and 0.17x maximum magnification, this makes this lens ideal for close-up photography while retaining great depth of field. A rouned seven-bladed diaphragm provides a smooth and pleasing bokeh.
