        Overview

24.5 MP full-frame CMOS sensor, EXPEED 6 image processor

The D780 makes capturing vibrant and lifelike images near effortless. Thanks to its large 35mm full frame sensor and intelligent image processor images are detail rich in both highlights and shadows, and colours are vibrant and full of life. Additionally, the 24.5 megapixel count provides plenty of room for cropping if needed.

51-point optical or 273-point live view autofocus system

During use of the optical viewfinder the Nikon D780 features up to 51 autofocus points of which 15 are cross-type points while incorporating phase-detection technology. During live view the camera features a massive total of 273 points, or 231 during video recording. Live view and video use a combination of phase and contrast-detection.

        4K UHD video powerhouse

Not just a pretty stills camera, the Nikon D780 features all the necessities for quality video recording. The camera can record full frame 4K/UHD video/movies at 30p/25p/24p with zero crop factor. Want to record slow motion video, the DSLR camera provides internal Full HD 1080p video recording with sound at up to 120p. Other amazing video features include the ability to record 10-bit video in N-Log, record Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR footage, support for Atomos open protocol, and the ability to record timecode in drop-frame or non-drop-frame formats and output via 10-bit HDMI. A 3.5mm microphone jack as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack provides the ability to use external sound recording and monitoring accessories.digi
