Super 35mm, 6144 x 3456 Film Sensor
Built-in to the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is a native Super 35mm sensor that features a large 6144 x 3456 resolution – making it suitable to shoot in bright sunlight or in almost no light at all. The 6K camera also features 13 stops of dynamic range, as well as dual native ISO up to 25 600 for enhanced, and low noise images in all kinds of lighting conditions. The Super 35mm sensor is also carefully designed to ensure shallow depths of field and anamorphic lenses.
Active Canon EF-Mount Compatibility
The Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is now compatible with Canon EF-mount lenses, making the 6K Pocket Cinema Camera compatible with the largest range and most popular lenses in the world. Making it ideal if you already own EF lenses from your DSLR camera. The active lens mount also ensures that you can adjust focus and iris from the buttons on the camera, or via the touchscreen.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) Images
High Dynamic Range is the distance between the lightest and darkest parts of an image, simply measured in stops. Featuring an impressive 13 stops of dynamic range, providing you with more detail in the lightest and darkest areas of an image. The Dynamic Range will also ensure that it retains the details when adjusting exposure for an indoor scene.
Dual Gain ISO
Technology has just gotten better with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, as it features dual gain ISO of up to 25 600. This simply means that it will effectively reduce grain or noise in images, while maintaining the full dynamic range of the sensor. Making the native ISO of 400 ideal for scenes with on-set lighting, while with the secondary high base ISO of 3200 will be great for shooting in dimly lit conditions.
Multiple Resolutions and Frame Rates
Powered with advanced features, makes it possible for the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K to shoot in all standard resolutions and frame rates from HD up to 6K, as well as still images at 21.2MP on the 6K camera. Frame rates that it allows you to shoot in, includes 50 fps at 6144 x 3456 16:9 or 60 fps at 6144 x 2560 2.4:1 and 60 fps at 5744 x 3024 17:9. You are also capable of windowing the sensor for higher frame rates, where you can then shoot up to 120 fps at 2.8K 2868 x 1512 17:9.

Standard SD Cards, UHS-II or CFast 2.0 Media Compatibility
Built-in to the latest Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K are CFast and SD UHS-II card recorders, as well as a USB-C expansion port – allowing you to record directly to an external media disk (Hard Drives & SSD's). This enables you to utilise regular SD cards for HD or higher performance UHS-II and CFast cards for native 4K or 6K when using Blackmagic RAW.

Built-in to the design is a HDMI connector for monitoring with support for HDR and clean 10-bit output, where you’ll be able to connect up an HDMI display or television for on set monitoring. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K gives you professional high fidelity audio recording so you don’t have to carry around a separate sound recorder. The camera features a mini XLR input with 48 volts of phantom power for connecting professional microphones such as lapel mics and booms. There are also four built in microphones with an extremely low noise floor so you can capture great sound on location. There’s even a 3.5mm stereo audio jack so you can use different types of video camera microphones.
Flexible Power Options – LP-E6 battery, DC and USB-C
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K uses standard removable LP-E6 (included) or LP-E6N type batteries. You also get a locking DC power connector so it can’t be accidentally disconnected in the middle of a shoot. The included 110 - 220 volt plug pack can be used to simultaneously power the camera and charge the LP-E6/ LP-E6N battery. Plus, it includes international socket adapters so it can be used anywhere in the world. The USB-C Expansion Port accepts power so you can charge the battery from portable battery packs, a mobile phone charger or even your laptop computer. Built-in Timecode Generator
With the built-in Timecode generator, you’ll achieve much faster multi camera shoots in perfect sync. This will allow shooting with more than one camera while maintaining perfect sync. You can easily plug in an external timecode generator such as Tentacle Sync via the 3.5mm audio jack and the camera will automatically detect the timecode, and then lock the internal generator. Once this has been setup, each camera will be able to start and stop recording and all the shots from each individual camera will have the exact timecode. Additionally, the DaVinci Resolve 16.1 software will automatically detect and sync the shots from all cameras.
Wireless Bluetooth Connectivity
Simply position your Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K on the end of a boom, and then take advantage of the Bluetooth connectivity, where you can get full control from up to approx. 10m. To achieve this control, you can easily download the Blackmagic Camera Control app for your iPad or you can either use apps such as Bluetooth+ or tRigger on your iOS and Android devices. Additionally, you can also download the free developer SDK with sample code from the Blackmagic Design developer website, where you’ll be able to configure your very own remote camera control and digital slate solutions.
